A room won't get up to temperature

Common reasons a zone stays cooler than its target.

• Valve stuck or blocked — check the radiator valve moves freely and isn't hidden behind furniture or curtains.
• Window open near the sensor or valve will fight the heating.
• Boiler not firing — make sure the boiler control (thermostat) is linked and calling for heat.
• Preheat time — very cold days need a longer warm-up; the system allows for this, but an underpowered radiator may still lag.
