How booking calendars drive your heating
We read your iCal feeds and warm the property ahead of each check-in.
Each booking platform publishes an iCal link — a web address ending in .ics that lists your bookings. You paste those links into Smart Property once, and we check them every few minutes.
What happens
- When a booking is coming up, we start warming the property so it's at your comfort temperature by check-in time (we use local weather to judge how early to start).
- While it's occupied, it holds your comfort temperature on your schedule.
- After check-out it drops to your away/setback temperature to save energy.
If you list on several platforms, add a feed from every one — together they give the full picture of when your property is booked.
One property, many feeds. All your calendars combine into a single occupancy signal for the property. You never wire calendars to rooms yourself.
